Hello to all!

Once upon a time I ran a marathon, prompting Eric to realize his undying love for me and propose the way a real man/athlete should. (as in, all romantically on one knee with flowers and shiny jewelry.)

The lovely couple looking lovely.

Clearly, our love was the stuff that 80's power ballads were written about! All the romance all the time. (and by all the romance, I might mean all the running/biking/swimming/equestrian pursuits but whatever, I had you guys at 80'd power ballad...) Because we put so much effort into our extra curricular pursuits all our family and friends got nowhere for months and months when they asked us about wedding details. All in good time people!!! (and apparently that time is now..)

We finally started to do some wedding planning (in 5 minute blocks, because who has time?) In order to keep our out of town guests up to speed on our amazing plans we created a wedding website. Which made us do this:

And THIS is not pretty.....
It was deleted, post haste.
Since THAT was not the way to go (because really, barf) and knowing my inherent knack for blogging this page was born.

By now, if you are family or the kind of friend who we forget isn't family (or the kind of friends we like BETTER than family! just kidding, just kidding) you will have received one of our fantabulous one of a kind (unless you shop on shutterfly) save the date cards. These cards really capture us for who we are, people who look pretty amazing in photos of marginal quality!

The big day is: Saturday, August 16th 2014. Put it on the calendar.

We are having a Family Ceremony and cocktail reception at : Grace Ohhhh, posh and fancy!
This will be from 1PM to 4PM and is going to be steeped in wedding tradition and ritual. (ok so that is a lie. we aren't going by the book but it is going to be pretty much the best wedding ever!)

We seem to have a lot of friends, probably because we are so fun and awesome! We want to include everyone in our big day so we are planning an evening of taking over Portland's Old Port. Details are still in the works and we'll keep y'all posted.

We are working on acquiring a block of rooms at two different price point hotels. Bottom line though, Portland has tons of accommodation options and finding a place to stay will be zero problem. And if you want to drive back to Waterford and pitch a tent on our lawn by all means, do!
(we hope to have the hotel issue sorted out by March. looking at Holiday Inn by the bay currently, incase anyone is wondering. And probably the fancy La Quinta for the budget option.)

So that's all for now kids. We'll keep you posted as we figure things out.

If you have any questions for us feel free to ask away in the comments section. Or email us. Or send us a tweet, a FB message or a bat signal. It all works.

Happy New Year!!!!
Sara & Eric
